Tennessee Fall

On our anniversary we went hiking in Manchester and Tullahoma, TN. My real desire was to take off to cabin in the woods for the weekend, however due to the financial aspect heading out of town we instead decided a day trip was better. Smith Springs Natural area in Tullahoma was by far my favorite with steep, narrow trails and lots of places to stop and play in the Springs. You should check it out!

We live in such a beautiful part of the country and today reminds me of how thankful I am that places like this are only a short drive away.

Over the Holidays we were luckily able to enjoy a few visits from my sister and her family. Of course, this opens the opportunity for a few snapshots which I can never resist.

This was an attempt at getting a Christmas card photo, but I love the way Maggie just stares at sweet little Lila. I know that dog will be protecting that child forever.


Then we went outside to play ball with the dogs and get a little fresh air. The sky was beautiful even though the sun was a little bright. Everyone loves to get together for this sort of family fun, but I especially enjoyed hanging back with my camera!






~Dogs on Parade

The Williamson County Ag Center recently hosted a dog show for the American Kennel Club. The experience was like nothing I have ever seen, except maybe in the movie "Best in Show". Unfortunately I only have pictures of the dogs, however as you would guess the owners were just as entertaining. Here are my blue ribbon winners...
